Portiere for the Front Door - £56

i have learnt a new word today...

portiere = special curtain pole made for the back of a door...

Our front door is quite drafty and a gorgeous dark velvet curtain will look great.

we would like a "self-closing" portiere from jim-lawerence.co.uk in the polished finish with glass finial (code:686L) with a length of 97cm.

(14 curtain rings would also be great, if possible)

Anglepoise Type 1228 in grey with floorstand - £145 + £47.50

This will be lovely in our living room... it looks a bit crazy in the picture but fab in real life.

Do have a look at the Giant anglepoise which is just fab, but too big (and too expensive)- most annoying.

Glass Vase - £35.00

A gorgeous hand blown glass vase......this is an LSA Orietta and we would prefer the 35cm tall one (largest)

I have seen them in Heals and John Lewis and they are online also.

Sophie and I sometimes get flowers from Stoods on a Friday evening from the flower stall opposite his office and we always struggle to find a tall enough vase... this will be perfect.

Deco Desk Chair - £95

This is a 1930's theatre seat which will be fabulous with our desk.

Newgate Wall Clock - £85.00

We think this clock will look fab as it is quite big and very shiny - but can't decide whether to put it in the kitchen or living room, at the moment.

1930's Typewriter - £?

Apparently everyone sneaks something onto the wedding list, not wanted by the other person - this is my item (Heather speaking!) 

We have a lovely desk which we bought at auction and a typewriter from the 1930's would look great on it. 

This is my second time of trying to "acquire" one. The first time was in the summer when staying with U. Brian. We found an amazing emporium in a shed near a bridge in North Devon, full of fab things including a typewriter, like this. Stoods vetoed the purchase on the grounds of weight, dust collecting and room in car. Later in the week, when I had persuaded Stoods to return - we couldn't find it ... or so he told me!
